RIGHT ROOM MISSION

Jesus asked more questions than He answered. That teaches us the importance of not just getting the answer, but learning to look more into it by asking surrounding questions. If Jesus had have answered every question straight, there would have been no end to the queries, but Him answering the questions with questions means we can look back in His words and more easily translate and apply them to multiple situations currently. The questions are more versatile and in a sense more helpful than the answers themselves.
Right Room isn't just me talking at you about what I know. It's both of us exploring different topics and learning more together. I may not always find a definitive answer, but hopefully my questions and the notes and thoughts I pull from here there and everywhere influence you to do the same, and really dive into what is important to you and what is important to God.
The name is from a popular quote, unsure who said it first; "If you're the smartest person in the room then you're in the wrong room." It isn't about being the smartest and having the right answers. The answers won't get you far, it's the skill of learning to ask the questions and find out more about them. It's the open-mindedness that will get you further.
A tweet I shared previously said this:
In the Gospels, Jesus is asked 187 questions.
He answers (maybe) 8 of them.
He himself asks 307.
Maybe faith isn't about certainty, but learning to ask, and sit in the complexity of, good questions.
Right Room is a bit of a maturing from Young Hearts, we develop a closeness of our heartbeats to God, which takes a lot of learning and looking in, to now lifting our eyes out to the room around us, full of people to grow with and learn from.
And there is power in people. God created us with these networks of people around us, so Right Room's mission is an encouragement to tap into that, and to recognise the power in working with and talking with the people around us. Helping each other and discussing, learning through what different people have to offer. We build each other up. This is to create a space where we are in the right room, a community who are asking questions and developing answers, talking about faith and Jesus and the world and growing together, ever towards God's heart as we walk in His plans for us. His plan isn't a far off destination, you are living it right now as you listen and take each step with Him, it's the daily decisions to walk with Him, chatting and praying to Him, worshipping and exalting Him, exploring the opportunities He creates.
I'm excited for where God is taking me, you, and this blog! Let me know what you think :))
